Putting a relevant video right next to the Gate Button will increase the number of clicks your Button gets, and send more people into your nurture funnel.
I’d suggest a 45 second video, something short and to the point.
The key to this is the message. Tell your audience whey they need your gated content, why it's not just relevant, but essential for them.

To write this style of motivational script I’d suggest the following framework:
The opener - connect to their passion
Open with a line immediately relates to what they're passionate about discovering or learning. Highlight this. It can be to solve a worry or offer a gain.
Write this in an emotional, honest style that cuts to the chase.
How positive or upbeat/downbeat you make these opening lines is up to you, and the balance you want to strike. But it’s best not to pull any punches.
Alternatively you can open with a statement that everyone will agree, and so win the consensual nod from your audience.
The middle - your proposition
Quickly explain what your Remarkable Proposition offers.
Don’t try to explain “how you do it”. Stick to "what they get", ie, delivered benefit.
Save the "how you do it" messages for low cost explainer videos deeper in your site.
The close - connect to the button
Connect everything to the benefits of your gated content, or whatever action button you’re using.
Invite them to discover what they’ll get by clicking the button.
You can even show a moving arrow, pointing towards your gate button, indicating where the customer should press next.
On a few occasions this style of video increased button clicks significantly.
