BUSINESS VIDEO MASTERCLASS
PART 3 - AVOIDING MISTAKES WHILE YOUR VIDEO IS BEING PRODUCED
9: 2nd draft approval matters most
This is where the CEO, or your clients, or a wider catchment also approve the video as perfect.
It may require a couple of final tweaks to please everybody.
The beauty of this is that you now know your video is perfect, which is what you’ve been after all along, taking so much trouble and care to get everything right in the earlier stages.
Just in case it all sounds too easy, an example of a hideous disaster is when the final approval video suddenly, out of the blue, requires dramatic changes, reshoots, redrafts of drawings, alternative voiceover, new music, big changes of tempo.
When these things happen, everybody panics, and you most of all.
Sometimes video companies refuse to do the extra work without additional payment. Or maybe you've been a “difficult client” after all.
We’ll not dwell on the negative as it’s not going to happen.
But knowing what can go wrong at this late stage is motivating enough to get things right in the first place.
Perhaps you’ve already had experience of a disaster, or semi-disaster. Or simply that no one’s been super impressed by your final video. A bland reception is the last thing you want.
There’s nothing to beat producing a perfect video, that will help win sales, win leads, win names, or make audiences powerfully aware of what you’re doing, and feel motivated, passionate enough to want to take action.
It’s a great feeling, as well as a very smart business move.
In any event, well done. You've just made a brilliant video.
