Corporate Video Production
HOW AMBITIOUS SHOULD YOU BE?
Remember your audience and how they will view the finished video.
People may happily sit for hours to watch The Iron Man Trilogy, but in most situations their attention span is much, much shorter.
It's smartest to assume your audience is lazy and ignorant. This may sound a bit strong, but experience proves it’s a smart assumption to make.
Don’t try and say too much. Three main points is about all most people can get their heads round in one session. That's not much is it, three take-home messages.
Allowing for live action and titles, you only get about 100 words of voiceover narration per minute of video.
So if you've read all the pages so far in this guide, you've already read the equivalent of a 10-minute video script.
I know this sounds obvious, but always go for the very best result you can, no matter how small your budget or small the project.
The very best result will always make a bigger difference than simply a good result. Be ambitious for excellence.
Remember: Your video will probably be required to change people’s attitudes. This is not the simplest task.
So frankly, only excellence will do.
