- Staff can view at a time that suits them, rather than have to wait
for a regular video training session.
- Video can also be embedded as part of your existing intranet training or induction packages.
- When face-time is necessary then a webcast could be the ideal
solution.
- If you're a retailer, then video online could be the answer to
delivering the subtleties of softskills training.
How Do I Make my Online Video Training Interactive?
Delivering interactive web packages is no new thing. You may well have done this a few times already.
Here's an example:
- User logs in to a Welcome screen/Main Menu
- They click the first option, and immediately a short video loads explaining a section of the training to them
- When the video is over, the user is presented with multiple choice questions to validate the learning received, and establish competency
- If they get it wrong, they're automatically redirected to view the video again
- If they get it correct, then they watch another short video clip. This clip is followed by multiple choice questions to validate
- The user goes through a series of training clips and subsequent validations until all the training is complete
Importantly, if the training needs recording, then because it's online, all the results can be captured on a central database for later analysis and management reports.
Example reports can be:
- Who passed and who failed
- Who hasn't yet completed or started the training
- Which areas or regions experience the most problems
Online video training delivers:
- Interactivity to engage users
- Reports to ensure you're always on top of progress
- Competency to a higher level, that is: Proficiency
