Stay short, not long

We rarely design a sales presentation longer than 15 slides. And we design them so that you can easily play only 3 or 4 slides if you want, or 10 slides, or include additional slides, ensuring you deliver the exact amount of information a buyer needs to see - no more, no less.

Think from the buyer’s point of view

Believe it - buyers are fed up of hearing companies yadayada on how wonderful they are. The way to impress a buyer is think from their point of view. Focus on what you actually deliver. Don’t waste time describing your internal systems and processes, unless they’re expressed as key deliverables. Use your presentation to tell them what they need to know, and no more.

Convince on each point

When a buyer nods it means they’ve accepted your point. But it doesn’t mean they’re convinced. To persuade, every presentation point must be singular and clear, and not muddied up with other messages. It has to sing with its own voice, for however brief a time it's required to hold the stage. Liar, liar, liar, thinks buyer, buyer, buyer. Well, that’s extreme, but it is vital to prove every claim you make at the exact time you make it. If you claim to cover the UK, then back it up with brief facts such as four regional offices, or customers in every High St, or 20 Account Managers in the field. Just don’t leave claims hanging, or they’ll hang you.
