We’ll look at scripting in more detail later. But for now, take a look at few non-European / non-US business web sites. Look at some of the cliches being used. Take a look at a few smaller European / US websites as well.

You’ll see buckets of tired cliches and transparent claims. It’s a quick lesson in what not to do.
The old school way to create the appearance of bigness was with expensive camerawork, expensive sets and exotic locations or props.

The new school way is with skillful post production, particularly the integration of animated graphics and stills and live action footage. We’ll look at this more later.

And then we back up all these exciting visuals with a well written business script that quietly exudes confidence and capability.

The appearance of Bigness doesn’t have to mean commissioning an expensive company video. It’s more about your approach in the first place in knowing what key qualities you’re looking for in your company video, and then finding a video producer who understands this.
