Losing Weight

The healthiest way to lose weight is NOT to crash diet or go in for sudden bursts of exercise.

Fundamental to losing weight is understanding that we all need to balance our intake of energy, our food input calories with what you expend, our activity output calories. A manual worker burns as much as 4000 to 5000 calories a day compared with an office worker burning only 1500 calories.

You should view losing excess weight as a gradual process, with gradual rewards in your feelings about yourself, your appearance, your fitness and your overall health. The body always prefers slow changes in terms of diet and exercise.
