How to use this course

There are exercises at the end of each section. Some are Mental Exercises which ask you to consider a point you’ve learned. Others are Practical Exercises which you can try out in your own meetings.

Refer back to your notes every month

You’ll need a notebook where you can jot things down, so please keep one to hand.

You will also need your diary, preferably your Outlook diary, or other software diary.

You will also need access to your email.

As you work through the earlier part of this course, you’ll see your notebook grow with it, full of valuable comments and assessments you’ve made.

These notes you make will help you link what you read in the course to your specific situation, and thus allow you to make best use of what you learn.

So please get your notebook out now.

Later in the course you’ll be given regular hints, tips and techniques to try out.

When you’ve completed the course, keep your notes as they’ll hold a lot of baseline data about you. Refer back to your notes every month to measure how you’re progressing.
