MARKETING - HEALTHY EATING WITH QUORN
Marlow Foods, the producers of the Quorn range, are planning
a series of presentations to the food industry to explain the
findings of recent research they commissioned into our eating
habits.
The presentation is expected to be over an hour long as there
is a wealth of information to be shown, including 40 slides of
research data.
Rather than travel down the familiar "home-made" PowerPoint
route, Marlow have opted for a high quality multimedia presentation,
as the volume of data and its implications needs to be shown in
a clear and attractive way, if the underlying healthy eating message
is to be recognised.
A second version of the multimedia is also being produced. This
includes additional voiceover so that people who miss the live
presentations can watch it at home or in the office.
MULTIMEDIA - USING INTERACTIVITY TO
MODIFY TRAVEL BEHAVIOUR
Bromley in South East London has the highest level of car ownership
of all the London boroughs, with the consequence of greater congestion
and longer journey times.
To help ease this, Bromley produced a multimedia to explain the
Walking Bus, an initiative designed to reduce the traffic congestion
caused by the morning and afternoon school runs.
The project and its success is explained in detail in a forthcoming
article in the Institute of Municipal Engineers monthly magazine.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - CREATING THE
FUTURE AT JOBCENTRES
In line with Chancellor Gordon Brown's drive for greater efficiency
in the Civil Service, JobCentre Plus staff now find themselves
involved in a series of productivity initiatives.
To explain the need for continuing development, and the role that
staff can play in this, a series of conferences for JobCentre managers, "Creating
the Future - Now", are taking place across the North West.
The conferences have a strong workshop component, allowing staff
to develop practical solutions together as work teams.
To give each conference a lift, Rossiter & Co were commissioned
by organisers, Premier Partnership, to produce a 3 minute HUGE-BIG-WOW
video to kick off the day.
