ROSSITER & CO'S BEST EVER YEAR

Thanks to your continued support, this year has seen the company grow by an astonishing 60%.

We've also won new accolades, including the Institute for Career Guidance Award for Innovative Use of IT for Berkshire Council IAG, the Glass Charter award for Pilkington, and a London Transport award for Bromley Council.

This brings our awards total to 9 in the last 6 years (phew!)

FREE - THREE NEW WEBSITES

Helping our customers to do better has been an axiom of the company ever since we started all those 16 years ago.

To help you even more, we've recently uploaded three new websites which I'm sure you'll find useful.

"Corporate Video Production - A Manager's Guide" is aimed directly at the corporate manager who wants to know more about video production, have technical terms explained, and obtain a better understanding of the whole production process.

You can view it here Corporate Video Production/

"VDU Risk Assessment" is a job that concerns every H&S Mgr in Britain. To help we've built a free interactive site that will allow every member of your workforce to go online and carry out their own VDU risk assessment. We know of people who charge thousands of pounds for this, so instead we're giving it away free of charge to all our valued customers.

You can view here www.vduhealthandsafety.org/

"The Employee Wellness Programme" is an online interactive site that will help each individual in your workforce to assess their own wellness, in terms of weight, diet, smoking, drinking, sun tanning, shiftwork, stress, fitness and drug awareness.

It produces a unique traffic light red / amber / green assessment based on each person's input, with recommendations on how to improve areas of concern.

You can view it here

All the above sites are completely free to use, no strings attached, or hidden anything. Please enjoy.

We offer our sincere thanks to Pilkington with whom we developed the VDU and Wellness sites.

NEW TALENT IN THE STUDIO

Matt Richardson has recently joined us as a video editor / multimedia developer. Matt is a double first Honours graduate in multimedia and has spent the last two years working in an advertising agency specialising in video production.

Meanwhile, many of our customers are now requesting graphic design for brochures, folders and handbooks, as well as covers and labels for DVDs and CDs, so graphics designer, Bruce Bowden, has come onboard to help. Recently Bruce has been doing design work for Glasgow Council, British Glass, HSBC and Pilkington.

Talented Cartoonist / Illustrator John Fuller has also joined the team, with work for Bromley Council and Pilkington.

FREE - TELEPROMPT SERVICE

If you've got the daunting task of addressing a camera, then you know that a teleprompt (also called autocue) can make it a lot easier, since you only have to read the scrolling text to get the words right. Normally a Teleprompt Operator costs #500 per day which I know some of you flinch at paying. So now it's free with each shoot. Just ask.

IN AND AROUND THE STUDIO - The Latest Gossip

There's been so much water under the bridge since we last spoke. Recent productions include work for HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Carillion, GSH Group, Berkshire Council, American Life, Pilkington, British Glass and Westfield.

We're also on the verge of installing a new edit suite to cope with the increased production, and we expect to completely refurbish the whole studio at the end of the year, or early next year.

THE JOKE - PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS

Accepts new assignments willingly: Never finishes anything

Approaches difficult problems with logic: Finds someone else to do the job

Conscientious and careful: Scared

Exceptionally well qualified: Has committed no major blunders to date

Maintains a high degree of participation: Comes to work on time

Unlimited potential: Will stick with us until retirement

Oi!
