INTERESTING THINGS - New Products & Developments
This issue let's take a look at interesting new products we've developed or are in the process of developing. Like you, it's something we love doing, and find it helps keep us fresh and creative.

VIDEO LIBRARIES

Increasingly our customers are asking for all their training, safety or marketing videos to be put on a single cd-rom.

With multimedia cd-rom it works like this:

Your user puts the cd into their drive and a menu appears listing all the videos available, each with a brief description and a couple of still images to illustrate. The user clicks to play, and the video appears.

As a delivery solution, it couldn't be easier.

The whole package is stylishly corporate badged and looks wholly professional.

You can publicise the availability of your video library cd via your company magazine, newsletter or increasingly, via your intranet.

To obtain a copy, interested users simply email you with a request.

So don't you think it makes more sense to have all your videos in one attractive, easily accessible and easily distributable place?

Mail us for a quote.

INTERACTIVE DVD
In our studio, we've been able to create DVD video for a while now, but it's only recently that DVD players have come down so low in price, eg, £69.95 in Asda for a hardware player, or $25 for a software player utility that'll play DVD on your PC if you haven't already got one.

While this doesn't mean DVD is any more accessible across a corporate network than it was yesterday, it does mean that if you have a special application such as a particular training requirement or a crucial customer presentation, you could be using DVD right now, with all the impact and cachet this represents.

To meet this challenge, the next step for us at Rossiter & Co is DVD authoring.

This means developing DVDs that have all the functionality of the traditional interactive cd-rom, but with the added bonus of DVD quality and impact.

A simple application could be to put all your existing video together into a single DVD library, as in the multimedia library application above.

Taking it further you could develop an interactive training or customer presentation application, again similar to what you currently see on cd-rom, but with all the wow-factor of DVD picture and sound.

Because this is a new area for all of us, we're offering it at specially reduced prices for the first three customers who'd like us to develop an application for them.

So if you have something DVD-wise in mind, then right now it'll pay you to give us a call and ask for a special deal. We'll certainly make it worth your while to do so.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
You probably already know that our Studio is pretty amazing, but nonetheless you can expect big changes over the next few months. We've got this yearning to upgrade our Studio software and hardware into a digital flagship, something that will outperform everything in its class, and offer undreamt-of facilities.

Upscaling the Studio is something we've been doing since time immemorial, but this time we're planning something really special for you.

And it seems you like what we do, as each year our turnover has improved.

I've probably said enough for now, but watch this space. Things are going to get even better.
