NEW MEDIA - It's Going Crazy!
While demand for video has increased over the last 12 months, the
demand for new media solutions using video, multimedia, the web
et al has skyrocketed. It's as though every project or enquiry
we receive can benefit from taking a new media approach.
We see this as fulfilling our mission of transforming the way
companies and organisations communicate, by helping you do it
cheaper and better.
If you're bored to death up with your company "look" or
marketing and communication methods, then email us and ask for
a copy of our showreel, Happening Now. If you've not seen it
before, then I can personally guarantee it will change the way
you think about your communications.
VIDEO STREAMING - Stream to be Seen
BT have slashed a tenner a month off the price of broadband,
which makes video streaming off your website an even more realistic
proposition. It is estimated that the number of UK broadband
users will rise from the current 165,000 to 1,000,000 by the
end of this year.
This increase is directly attributable to BT's wholesale price
cut made in response to unremitting pressure from the pro-web
Blair government. Already broadband prices have dropped to as
low as £21 per month from one provider.
Think about it - twenty one quid for web pages almost as fast
as your hard disk!
The net result of cheaper, faster web connections will be an
increase in user expectations in the quality of what they see
on the web. This means that the demand for streaming video, flash,
and an all-round greater level of interactivity will increase,
and continue to increase.
So how could video streaming enhance the performance of your
company? How could you take advantage of this rapidly accelerating
phenomena? Check out our site www.rossiterandco.com or write
for more details.
SAFETY TRAINING - Taking Responsibility
Attention Safety Managers: It's not possible to put into a few
words the new safety training concepts we and our customers
have helped to develop. But if you need your workforce to take
an attitude of greater responsibility for their own and their
colleagues' safety then mail me and ask for a copy of our showreel
Happening Now, which explains it in more detail.
IN THE PIPELINE - The Gossip
Busy, busy, busy is the operative word in the Studio. New people
have been brought in to help us meet your demands.
We've just completed 2 marketing projects for Scottish Equitable,
and another for The Department For Work & Pensions. Work
in progress includes South-East London Transport Strategy (SELTRANS)
and Bromley Council, AMEC, Carillion, Pilkington, Luton Council
and Brunner Mond, with more coming up in the pipeline.
Since we won the Interactive Project of the Year Award late
last year the phone keeps ringing. So thank you, and please keep
ringing. We love you for it!
THE JOKE
These are actual english subtitles used in Hong Kong movies:
- I am dam unsatisfied to be killed in this way
- A normal person wouldn't steal pituitaries
- Who gave you the nerve to get killed here?
- I have been scared silly too much lately
- How can you use my intestines as a gift?
- Quiet or I'll blow your throat up!
