SAFETY: Killing Off the Birmingham Gridlock
It won't be too long before north-south traffic across the country can take the new Birmingham Northern Relief Road, a motorway from the M42 to the M6, that cuts out the central Birmingham gridlock that we all suffer intensely from time to time.

But on any construction project this size accidents can and do happen, from concrete burns to falling into excavations.

Which is why we've just completed a video that spells out a clear safety message for all the operatives onsite.

It's a comprehensive programme which successfully collapses 45 minutes from a daily induction down to a more manageable and consistently-deliverable 17 minutes.

The consortium, CAMBBA, who are building the new road is headed by a top safety team drawn from leading constructors Carillion, Alfred McAlpine, Balfour Beatty and AMEC.
