schedule and content
Agreeing a
production schedule and the video content in the intial
meeting helps to ensure the future stages go smoothly.
In this
intial meeting your own team and the producer
and scriptwriter from your chosen production company sit down
and get things moving.
Insist
that the scriptwriter is present; there is no point in starting a
game of Chinese Whispers at this stage.
The scriptwriter needs to be
there to listen, observe and ask essential questions.
Likewise, involve your own users or internal customers in the team.
Chinese Whispers works both ways.
By the end of this meeting you should have agreed:
- a detailed schedule for the production, including deadlines for
approval of the script and storyboard, pre-production meetings,
shoot dates, dates for viewing the rough cut and fine cut, completion
and final delivery rollout.
- the content areas for the script as bullet points, plus where,
when and how the scriptwriter will find information within
your organisation - who he/she can talk to, what can be seen, etc
