With the advent of broadband and new media, your company video can be delivered in a variety of ways, allowing you to reach many more customer touch points via more routes to market than used to be possible.
You can have:
> DVD for playback on a laptop or DVD player
> DVD for playback on a projector, from a laptop
> Flash video file (.flv) for web playback, though this requires a console. If you're not sure what this means go to www.youtube.com and see how they do it.
> Windows media file (.wmv) for video download
> Windows media file (.wmv) for inclusion in a powerpoint or other presentation from a laptop or PC or Mac
> Windows media file (.wmv) for inclusion on other media such as a flash memory stick, or a CD.
In addition you can have different versions of your business video produced to extend the number of customer touch points you can reach.
Different company video versions may include:
> A short version for streaming from your website. Maybe 1-2 riveting minutes about your organisation's products / services to act as a teaser
> A longer video version for playback to captive audiences, such as at a seminar or conference
> Slightly differently edited versions for different market niches. These usually have a different intro and outro to make them more fitting to their target audience.
> A short loop version with additional text captions for silent playback on an exhibition stand or foyer, or public place where you have to run your video in silence
> Foreign language video versions for your export markets, in one or more European or Asian languages
In addition there are now ways to stream company video in email, or in a youtube channel of your own, which we call social media and / or web2.
There are so many ways to do business using your company video.
