Financial product videos are mainly of three types:
- B2C Video for retail consumers – standalone delivered by post or stream
- B2C DVD for retail consumers – with an IFA (independent financial adviser) in the meeting
- Financial services corporate video
Financial product DVDs can include, life insurance, health insurance, pension plans, stakeholder pensions, and any other financial investment or portfolio showcase.
Retail financial product videos further divide into two main types: Retail and With IFA Present.
These are videos shown to web audiences as streams, usually of a single product.
They need to be hard-hitting and fast paced, but not too fast, or the broadband stream may break up (see Streaming Videos).
Financial products can also be shown as DVD standalone to workforces, eg, stakeholder pension products.
These videos are shown to workforces or retail consumers by IFAs (Independent financial advisers) or representatives of financial product sales teams (insurers, banks, financial services operations).
These videos can be longer, and cover more depth as there is usually a captive audience.
They can range from selling the company to selling and actual product or financial service.
Financial services corporate video
Investment advisers and VCs (venture capital providers) and other smaller financial services organisations also use corporate video to demonstrate their scope and capability, particularly to help resolve any issues around credibility.
These also work well as online video streams.
